We went on a trekking tour with Karma in the Langtang Valley. On the last day we climbed the Tserko Ri (5000m). Everything went well and Karma is a very good, level-headed guide. I would always want to go with Karma next time too!!! You can rely on him 100%!!!
Our Langtang Valley Trek could not have been better! Karma was a superb guide, matching his pace to ours and providing a 'hand' whenever necessary. The Langtang Valley Trekking is considered moderately challenging. It involves trekking through varied terrain, including steep ascents and descents. Prior trekking experience and a reasonable level of fitness are recommended.
The trek starts at approximately 1,500 meters (4,900 feet) and reaches its highest point at Kyanjin Ri (4,773 meters or 15,659 feet) or Tserko Ri (4,984 meters or 16,349 feet). Acclimatization stops are built into most itineraries to help manage altitude sickness.
The best time to trek the Langtang Valley is during the spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November) seasons. These months offer stable weather, clear skies, and favorable trekking conditions.
You will need a Langtang National Park entry permit and a TIMS (Trekkers' Information Management System) card, which can be obtained through registered trekking agencies or directly in Kathmandu or Syabrubesi.
