The company is the product of a partnership between two passionate souls, Karma Geljen Sherpa and Glen Young (Director in the USA). Karma Geljen Sherpa, the Director of the company in Nepal, was born and raised at Sibuje village in Everest region. While growing up, Mr. Karma began to apprehend the beauty of the glorious mountains and grew an unprecedented love for them. He has since then, dedicated all his actions to spread the magnificence of the Himalayas all over the world. However, no great feat comes without a small start. Mr. Karma has a humble background of working as the porter and guide at the kick-start of his career in 1999. Since his advent in travel and tourism, he has successfully led numerous campaigns to the lap of the Himalayas. One such instance is his maiden expedition as a trek leader in which he led the climb to 3 peaks in 25 days that included Pachermo (6273 m), Lobuche peak (6119 m) and Ama Dablam (6812 m). The expedition was a huge success and was a cornerstone to lead the company on a meteoric rise on the face of Nepalese tourism.
With the sole purpose of providing vivid experience to the clients, Higher Path Treks and Expedition has received accolades from a ton of international tourists with the company harboring 70% of its clients from the USA and remaining 30% from India and European countries. Booking Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions form an integral part of your travel contract and outline the legal agreement between you (the “client”) and Higher Path Treks and Expeditions (the “company”).
By booking any expedition, peak climbing, or trekking package with us, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to abide by these Terms and Conditions.
Our Terms and Conditions provide essential information regarding the procedures for booking confirmation, payment, refunds, cancellations, and other important policies related to your trip. They are designed to ensure a transparent and mutually respectful relationship between our clients and our company.

Cancellation Policy
We understand that the future is unpredictable, and sometimes plans change. If you need to cancel your trip, please submit your cancellation request in writing, stating the reason(s) for cancellation. Our refund policy is as follows:
If cancellation is made within 14 days of departure, no refund will be provided.
Please note that the cost of climbing permits, insurance, and equipment allowances is non-refundable under any circumstances.
Bank Deposit and Cash Payment
Your booking will be confirmed once we receive the requires deposit and send you a booking confirmation.
To secure your reservation, a deposit of 30% of the total trip cost is required at the time of booking. The remaining balance must be paid upon your arrival in Kathmandu before the commencement of your trip.
All deposits must be sent directly to the company’s designated bank account. For customized trips, a 50% deposit is also required, as this covers the arrangements and detailed preparations involved in organizing your itinerary.
Travel Insurance
Travel insurance is not included in the trip price; however, it is a mandatory requirement for booking any trip with Higher Path Treks and Expeditions. It is the client’s responsibility to ensure that they are adequately insured for the entire duration of the trip, covering all potential risks and expenses.
Your insurance policy should provide comprehensive coverage for situations such as missed flights, trip cancellations, baggage loss or damage, emergency medical evacuation, high- altitude accidents, personal injuries, and other unforeseeable events.
Please note that all costs related to emergency evacuation or medical treatment in Nepal must be paid in cash, unless your insurance provider has confirmed payment of such costs on your behalf.

You are responsible for all personal expenses and any additional costs incurred due to extended stays caused by natural disasters, political strikes, or other events beyond the company’s control.
3. Flight Arrangements
You are responsible for booking international flight tickets with flexible schedules, as travel in the Himalayas can be unpredictable. In the event of missed flights, you will bear any resulting losses solely.
4. Additional Services
If you request for extra services outlined in the Cost Inclusions section of your selected package, you are responsible for covering all associated additional costs

Guide and Porter Staff Compensation
Higher Path Treks and Expeditions is committed to provide fair compensation and support to all our guides, climber Sherpas and porters.
Our commitment ensures that every member of our team is well-trained, fairly compensated, and motivated to deliver a safe and high-quality experience for our clients.
Passport and Visa
It is the client’s responsibility to carry a valid passport and obtain all necessary visas required for travel with Higher Path Treks and Expeditions.
Please ensure that your passport is valid for at least six months beyond the date of your Nepal visa. The company is not responsible for any issues, delays, or costs arising from insufficient or invalid travel documents
