<p>A recent addition, the much-talked-about trek in Nepal in recent times is the Gokyo Valley Trek. This trek promises to provide the most jaw-dropping views of the Himalayas towering over 8000 meters such as Mt. Everest (8848m), Cho Oyu (8188m), Lhotse (8414m) and Makalu (8463m) along with the largest glacier of Nepal, Ngozumpa. Declared as a Ramsar Site in 2007, Gokyo houses the highest freshwater lake system of the world, consisting of six main lakes. <br></p>
<p>Recognized as Nepal’s highest trekking peak, Mera Peak is situated in the Solukhumbu district and stands tall at 6476 meters above sea level. Mera Peak gives explorers a chance to set camps and experience colorful Rhododendron filled trails and ultimately, the isolation of high-altitude valleys at best. <br></p>
Raved for the enthralling climb and meticulous natural trails to the peak, the Kyajo Ri Peak Climbing garners interest from the most adventurous of the travelers. Although lesser known, the peak is surrounded by beautiful peaks and the serene Gokyo Lakes; making the journey one to cherish. The Government of Nepal opened Kyajo Ri for scaling only in 2002 and hence it is a relatively unexplored peak.
A beautiful journey begins in Kathmandu, with the vibrant city opening its arms to all backpackers. Roads from Kathmandu lead to Dhunche and Syabrubensi, a remote town in the foothills of Langtang region. Much anticipated trek of the Langtang starts here with a hike to Lama Hotel and then Mundu.

<p>Spokesperson of the Ministry of Health Dr. Jageshwor Gautam said that the tourist would have to stay at the hotel until the PCR test report is received. He said it would take at least six days for the report to come. “If the test is negative, they can go out. If it is positive, they have to stay in the hospital.” The cost of PCR have to be paid by the tourists themselves. The Ministry of Health and Population has stated that this rule will come into force from August 17.<br></p>
