Flight Delays & Extra Days

Weather conditions in Lukla are unpredictable, especially during trekking seasons. Flight delays and cancellations are very common. We strongly recommend planning at least 17 Nights / 18 Days for your Nepal trip to avoid international flight complications.

Emergency Transportation

In case of flight cancellation due to weather conditions, helicopter services are available between Lukla and Kathmandu.

  • Helicopter Cost: Approximately USD 600 per person (one way, shared basis)
  • Jeep Option: Alternative overland transportation is available, involving approximately 380 km of driving with rough off-road conditions over 2 days.

Additional Expenses

Clients are advised to carry extra cash for personal expenses, flight delays, emergency transportation, charging devices, Wi-Fi, hot showers, and beverages during the trek.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

If a trek is shortened or cancelled by the client for personal reasons, illness, or early return to Kathmandu, unused services are non-refundable.

Flights to and from Lukla are highly weather-dependent, and delays or cancellations may occasionally occur.

Experience the adventure of a lifetime in the heart of the Himalayas. This budget-friendly Everest Base Camp Trek takes you through beautiful Sherpa villages, breathtaking mountain landscapes, ancient monasteries, and the world-famous Everest Base Camp. The itinerary is carefully designed with proper acclimatization days to ensure a safe and enjoyable trekking experience.

Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, our representative will warmly welcome you and transfer you to your hotel. After check-in, you can relax or explore the lively streets of Thamel, a popular tourist hub filled with restaurants, cafes, trekking shops, and cultural attractions.

After breakfast, you will have time for final trek preparation and a detailed briefing with your guide to ensure everything is ready for the journey into the Everest region. In the afternoon, depart Kathmandu on a private jeep drive to Ramechhap, the gateway for flights to Lukla during the busy trekking seasons.

The drive follows scenic countryside roads through traditional villages, terraced farmland, riverside landscapes, and rolling Himalayan hills, offering an authentic glimpse into rural Nepalese life. Upon arrival in Ramechhap, check in to a local tea house and enjoy a relaxed evening before the early morning mountain flight to Lukla.

Early in the morning, transfer to Ramechhap Airport for one of the world’s most thrilling mountain flights to Lukla. During the short yet spectacular flight, enjoy breathtaking aerial views of the Himalayan range, deep valleys, and remote mountain settlements.

Upon arrival at Lukla (2,860m), meet the trekking crew and begin the journey through the Everest region. The trail descends gradually through pine forests, suspension bridges, prayer wheels, and charming Sherpa villages alongside the Dudh Koshi River.

After several hours of easy trekking, arrive in the peaceful village of Phakding, a beautiful riverside settlement surrounded by forested hills and mountain scenery. Spend the evening relaxing at a cozy tea house while preparing for the next stage of the trek toward Namche Bazaar.

The trek continues along the Dudh Koshi River, crossing several suspension bridges decorated with colorful prayer flags. Enter Sagarmatha National Park and climb steadily toward Namche Bazaar, the famous Sherpa town and trading center of the Everest region.

Today is an important acclimatization day to help your body adjust to the altitude. You can explore Namche Bazaar, visit the  Sherpa Museum, local cafes, and enjoy panoramic mountain views.

Today includes a scenic acclimatization hike to Kunde Ri for spectacular panoramic views of Mount Everest, Ama Dablam, Thamserku, and the Khumbu Valley. After enjoying the breathtaking scenery, descend to the beautiful Sherpa village of Khumjung for an overnight stay.

The trail passes through rhododendron forests, alpine landscapes, and traditional villages. Enjoy magnificent views of Ama Dablam, Everest, and Lhotse along the route before arriving in Pangboche, one of the oldest Sherpa settlements in the region.

Continue trekking deeper into the Khumbu region as the landscape becomes more rugged and dramatic. Dingboche is a beautiful village surrounded by towering Himalayan peaks and stone-walled fields.

Today you will hike to Nagarjun Ri, one of the best viewpoints in the Everest region. The climb offers incredible views of Makalu, Lobuche Peak, Ama Dablam, and the surrounding glaciers. This hike also helps your body properly acclimatize before heading to higher elevations.

The trail gradually climbs through alpine terrain and memorial sites dedicated to climbers who lost their lives on Everest expeditions. Continue alongside the Khumbu Glacier to reach Lobuche.

Today is the highlight of the trek. After breakfast at Gorakshep, continue trekking to Everest Base Camp, standing at the foot of the world’s highest mountain. Enjoy unforgettable views of the Khumbu Icefall and surrounding Himalayan peaks before returning to Lobuche for overnight accommodation in Lobuje 

Descend through scenic mountain trails toward the peaceful Sherpa village of Phortse. The route offers stunning views and a quieter trekking experience away from the main trail.

Continue descending through forests and mountain villages back to Namche Bazaar. Enjoy warmer temperatures and celebrate the successful completion of your Everest Base Camp journey.

Your final trekking day follows the Dudh Koshi River back to Lukla. Spend the evening celebrating with your trekking crew and fellow travelers.

Take an early morning flight from Lukla to Ramechhap, followed by a scenic drive back to Kathmandu. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel and enjoy your final evening in Nepal.
