Trip Itinerary

Day 1 : Arrival in Kathmandu (1,350 m)

Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, you will be warmly welcomed by our representative who will transfer you to your hotel in the heart of Kathmandu city. After settling in and refreshing from your journey, you can explore the vibrant streets of Thamel, a bustling hub for tourists with a variety of shops, restaurants, and cultural sites. Depending on your arrival time, there may be a brief initial meeting to introduce you to your trekking guide and discuss the upcoming adventure. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 2 : Kathmandu to Lukla (2,800 m) then trek to Phakding (2,800 m)

Early morning, you will take a thrilling flight from Kathmandu to Lukla, a gateway to the Khumbu region. The flight itself provides breathtaking views of the Himalayas before landing at Tenzing-Hillary Airport in Lukla, known for its short and steep runway. After meeting the rest of the trekking crew, your trek begins towards Phakding. The trail descends from Lukla through lush forests and small Sherpa villages, following the Dudh Kosi River. Along the way, you'll pass through the settlement of Cheplung and cross several suspension bridges adorned with prayer flags. After approximately 3-4 hours of trekking, you will reach Phakding. Overnight in Phakding.

Day 3 : Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3,438 m)

Leaving Phakding, the trail follows the Dudh Kosi River and enters Sagarmatha National Park. You will cross several suspension bridges, including the famous Hillary Suspension Bridge. The trail gradually ascends through pine forests, offering glimpses of Thamserku peak (6,608m) before reaching Namche Bazaar, the gateway to Everest. Namche Bazaar is a bustling Sherpa town with numerous lodges, shops, and stunning views of Everest and Lhotse. Overnight in Namche Bazaar.

Day 4 : Namche Bazaar: Acclimatization Day (3,438 m)

Today is set aside for acclimatization to the high altitude. Acclimatization is crucial to minimize the risk of altitude sickness as you ascend further. You can spend the day exploring Namche Bazaar or taking a hike to Everest View Hotel for panoramic views of Everest, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, and other peaks. Visit the Sherpa Culture Museum to learn about the local culture and traditions, or simply relax and enjoy the vibrant atmosphere of Namche Bazaar. Overnight in Namche Bazaar.

Day 5 : Namche Bazaar to Kyangjuma (Approx. 3,750 m) – Overnight in Kyangjuma

After a hearty breakfast in Namche Bazaar, you will begin your trek ascending gradually through rhododendron forests and terraced hillsides, offering stunning views of Thamserku and Kusum Kanguru. The trail follows the Dudh Koshi river, winding through small Sherpa villages and mani walls, giving a glimpse of the local culture and lifestyle. By midday, you’ll pass through quaint villages like Monjo and Jorsalle, where the Himalayas start revealing their grandeur. Arriving at Kyangjuma, you’ll settle into a cozy teahouse for overnight rest, surrounded by the crisp mountain air and the tranquil valley, perfect for acclimatization before the higher altitudes ahead.

Day 6 : Kyangjuma to Pangboche (Approx. 3,985 m) – Overnight in Pangboche

The day starts with an invigorating trek from Kyangjuma, gradually climbing along the Dudh Koshi River, with spectacular panoramic views of Ama Dablam and other towering Himalayan peaks. The path passes through scattered villages, prayer flags fluttering in the wind, and monasteries that reflect the spiritual essence of the Khumbu region. You’ll have opportunities to interact with friendly locals and witness traditional Sherpa life. The trek continues steadily, challenging your stamina but rewarding you with breathtaking vistas at every turn. By late afternoon, you’ll arrive in Pangboche, home to one of the oldest monasteries in the region, where you can rest and acclimatize for the higher altitude trekking ahead.

Day 8 : Dingboche: Acclimatization Day (4,360 m)

Another important acclimatization day to help your body adjust to the altitude. You can take a short hike to Nagarjun Hill or Chhukung Ri for stunning views of Makalu (8,485m), Island Peak (6,189m), and other surrounding peaks. Alternatively, explore Dingboche village and interact with the local Sherpa community. Rest and hydrate for the challenges ahead. Overnight in Dingboche.

Day 9 : Dingboche to Lobuche (4,940 m)

Leaving Dingboche, the trail ascends gradually along the lateral moraine of the Khumbu Glacier. You will pass Duglha village and ascend steeply to the terminal moraine of the Khumbu Glacier. Along the way, you will have panoramic views of Pumori (7,161m), Lingtren (6,749m), Khumbutse (6,623m), and other peaks. After a challenging ascent, you will reach Lobuche, a small settlement with stunning views of Nuptse (7,861m) and Everest. Overnight in Lobuche.

Day 10 : Lobuche to Gorak Shep, visit Everest Base Camp (5,364 m)

Today is a challenging yet rewarding day as you trek to Gorak Shep, the last settlement before Everest Base Camp. The trail passes through rocky moraines and offers glimpses of the Khumbu Glacier. After a short break in Gorak Shep, continue your trek to Everest Base Camp. Walk alongside the Khumbu Icefall and enjoy the surreal atmosphere of the Everest Base Camp, where climbers prepare for their summit attempts. After exploring and taking pictures, return to Gorak Shep for overnight stay.

Day 11 : Gorak Shep to Kala Patthar (5,545 m) and back to Lobuche

Early morning, ascend to Kala Patthar for sunrise views over Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, and Pumori. Kala Patthar (5,545m) offers the best viewpoint for close-up views of Everest and surrounding peaks. After soaking in the views and taking pictures, descend back to Gorak Shep and continue your trek to Lobuche. Overnight in Lobuche.

Day 12 : Lobuche to Lobuche High Camp (5,400 m)

Leaving Lobuche, the trail ascends steeply towards Lobuche High Camp. The trail is rocky and challenging as you gain altitude quickly. As you ascend, enjoy panoramic views of the Khumbu Glacier and surrounding peaks. Upon reaching Lobuche High Camp, your climbing guides will conduct a briefing and provide instructions for the summit day. Rest early to prepare for the summit push. Overnight at Lobuche High Camp.

Day 13 : Lobuche High Camp to Lobuche Peak Summit (6,119 m) and back to High Camp

Today is the highlight of your expedition as you attempt the summit of Lobuche East Peak (6,119m). Begin early in the morning under the guidance of your experienced climbing guides. The climb involves crossing rocky terrain, snow slopes, and possibly fixed ropes for safety. As you ascend, enjoy breathtaking views of Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Makalu, and other surrounding peaks. Reach the summit and celebrate your achievement. After spending some time at the summit, carefully descend back to Lobuche High Camp. Overnight at Lobuche High Camp.

Day 14 : Contingency/Reserve Day (5,400 m)

This extra day is reserved for contingencies such as unfavorable weather conditions or if additional acclimatization or rest is required. If the summit was successful on Day 12, you can use this day for relaxation or exploration around Lobuche High Camp. Overnight at Lobuche High Camp.

Day 15 : Lobuche High Camp to Pangboche (3,985 m)

After the successful summit of Lobuche East Peak, descend back to Pangboche via Lobuche and Pheriche. The descent offers stunning views of Ama Dablam and the Khumbu Valley. Enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of Pangboche village, surrounded by ancient monasteries and prayer flags. Overnight in Pangboche.

Day 16 : Pangboche to Namche Bazaar (3,438 m)

Leaving Pangboche, descend through forests of pine and rhododendron, passing Tengboche Monastery before reaching Namche Bazaar. The trail descends steeply to the Dudh Kosi River and ascends back to Namche Bazaar. Enjoy the bustling market town and reflect on your memorable journey through the Khumbu region. Overnight in Namche Bazaar.

Day 17 : Namche Bazaar to Lukla (2,800 m)

Today marks the final leg of your trek as you descend from Namche Bazaar to Lukla. The trail descends steeply through lush forests and crosses several suspension bridges over the Dudh Kosi River. As you approach Lukla, celebrate your successful expedition with your team and reflect on the incredible experiences of the past days. Overnight in Lukla.

Day 18 : Fly to Kathmandu (1,350 m)

Early morning, board a scenic flight back to Kathmandu, enjoying the last views of the Himalayan peaks. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, you will be transferred to your hotel. You have the rest of the day free to relax, do some last-minute shopping, or explore more of Kathmandu’s cultural sites. In the evening, celebrate your successful expedition with a farewell dinner hosted by the expedition team. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 19 : Final Departure

Your adventure in Nepal concludes today. After breakfast, you have some free time until our representative transfers you to Tribhuvan International Airport for your onward flight. Depart Nepal with unforgettable memories of the Himalayan adventure and the triumph of summiting Lobuche Peak.

Day 7 : Pangboche to Dingboche (Approx. 4,288 m) – Overnight in Dingboche

Departing Pangboche, the trail gradually climbs through the Imja Khola valley, offering awe-inspiring views of Ama Dablam, Lhotse, and Island Peak. You’ll trek past mani stones, prayer wheels, and fields of barley that contrast beautifully with the snow-capped mountains in the background. The route is scenic but requires careful pacing to adjust to the increasing altitude. As you approach Dingboche, the landscape opens into a broad valley surrounded by majestic peaks, offering perfect photo opportunities. On arrival, you’ll check into a comfortable teahouse and enjoy rest, preparing your body for further trekking and the eventual climb of Lobuche Peak.
