Trip Itinerary

Day 1 : Arrival in Kathmandu

Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, you'll be welcomed by our representative and transferred to your hotel in Thamel or a similar area. Depending on your arrival time, you can spend the day exploring the vibrant streets of Thamel, known for its shops, restaurants, and bustling atmosphere. In the evening, there will be a pre-trek briefing where you'll meet your trekking guide and fellow trekkers. You'll have time to ask any last-minute questions and make final preparations for the adventure ahead.

Day 2 : Afternoon Drive to Manthali from Kathmandu

In the early afternoon of Day 2, we departed Kathmandu, leaving behind the bustling streets and ancient temples for the quieter roads leading eastward. The drive to Manthali, approximately four hours in duration, took us through diverse landscapes of terraced fields, rural villages, and winding mountain roads. Along the way, we caught glimpses of distant snow-capped peaks, a reminder of the adventure awaiting us. Arriving in Manthali, we settled in for the evening, preparing ourselves mentally and physically for the next day's early start.

Day 3 : Morning Flight to Lukla, Trek to Phakding

Day 3 began with an early morning rise as we made our way to the airport in Manthali for our flight to Lukla. The short but exhilarating flight, taking around 30-40 minutes, offered stunning aerial views of the Himalayan foothills and valleys below. Upon landing at Lukla's Tenzing-Hillary Airport, renowned for its challenging runway carved into the mountainside, we embarked on our trek to Phakding. The trail started with a descent through pine forests and followed the Dudh Koshi River, crossing several suspension bridges adorned with prayer flags. The trek to Phakding, spanning approximately 3-4 hours, provided our first taste of the Khumbu region's natural beauty and the warm hospitality of its Sherpa inhabitants. Arriving in Phakding, we settled into our lodge, reflecting on the day's journey and anticipating the adventures yet to come as we continued our trek towards Everest Base Camp.

Day 4 : Trek to Namche Bazaar

Today's trek takes you along the banks of the Dudh Koshi River, crossing it several times via suspension bridges adorned with colorful prayer flags. You'll enter Sagarmatha National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site, where your permits will be checked at the entrance in Monjo. Continuing uphill, you'll reach Jorsale, where you'll stop for lunch. After lunch, the trail ascends steeply through dense forests of pine and rhododendron, eventually opening up to the vibrant Sherpa capital of Namche Bazaar. Namche Bazaar is a bustling market town with a mixture of traditional Sherpa homes, lodges, and modern amenities like bakeries and cafes. Here, you'll spend two nights to acclimatize to the altitude.

Day 5 : Trek from Namche Bazaar to Everest View Hotel and Stay in Kyangjuma

On Day 5 of your Everest Base Camp trek, you will explore on a captivating journey from Namche Bazaar to Kyangjuma, with several noteworthy stops along the way. After a hearty breakfast in Namche Bazaar, you’ll start your trek around 7:00 AM, heading towards the Everest View Hotel. Along the way, you’ll pause for a mid-morning tea break at a scenic spot with breathtaking views of Mount Everest and its neighboring peaks, providing a perfect moment to relax and take in the panoramic vistas. Continuing your trek, you'll reach Khumjung by noon, where you’ll enjoy a delicious lunch at a local teahouse. After lunch, you’ll visit the Khumjung Monastery, renowned for its rich history and the intriguing Yeti scalp relic. Following your exploration of the monastery, you’ll set out for Kyangjuma in the early afternoon. The trail to Kyangjuma offers stunning landscapes and impressive mountain views, culminating in your arrival by late afternoon. Upon reaching Kyangjuma, you'll check into your teahouse, unwind, and enjoy a well-deserved rest after a fulfilling day of trekking and exploration.

Day 6 : Trek to Phortse via Mong la pass

On Day 6 of your Everest Base Camp trek, you will explore on a memorable journey from Kyangjuma to Phortse, navigating through the stunning Mong La Pass at 3,970 meters. After a nutritious breakfast in Kyangjuma, you'll start your trek around 7:00 AM, climbing steadily towards Mong La. Upon reaching the pass, you’ll enjoy a refreshing tea break with some of the most breathtaking panoramic views of the trek, including Ama Dablam, Thamserku, Khantega, Kusum Khangaru, Kante Peak, and Thapuche Peak. The landscape is truly spectacular, and if you’re fortunate, you might catch glimpses of wildlife such as musk deer in the surrounding area. After savoring the views, you'll continue your trek, descending towards the serene village of Phortse. This less-traveled route offers a tranquil and unspoiled experience away from the main tourist paths. By late afternoon, you’ll arrive in Phortse, where you’ll check into a local teahouse, relax, and take in the peaceful atmosphere of this charming village, completing a day of remarkable scenery and tranquil exploration.

Day 7 : Trek to Pangboche

Today's trek takes you through picturesque landscapes adorned with mani walls and prayer flags. You’ll journey through the village of Pangboche, one of the highest permanent settlements in the Everest region.

In Pangboche, you can visit the Pangboche Monastery, the oldest monastery in the Khumbu region. The monastery is home to ancient artifacts and religious relics and offers stunning panoramic views of Ama Dablam, Everest, and Lhotse. This serene setting provides a perfect backdrop for spiritual contemplation and reflection.

After visiting Pangboche, you'll continue your trek through the villages of Somare and Orsho, immersing yourself in the rich cultural and natural beauty of the Everest region.

Day 8 : Trek to Dingboche

Leaving Pangboche, the trail ascends gradually towards Dingboche, another important acclimatization stop on the Everest Base Camp trek. The trail offers panoramic views of towering peaks like Ama Dablam, Nuptse, and Lhotse throughout the day. Dingboche is a summer grazing settlement surrounded by stone walls to protect crops from the cold winds. Day 9 : Acclimatization Day in Dingboche

Today is another acclimatization day to help your body adjust to the high altitude before ascending further. Day 10 : Trek to Lobuche

Continuing your trek, you'll leave Dingboche and trek towards Lobuche, gradually gaining altitude as you approach the Khumbu Glacier moraine. The trail offers breathtaking views of Pheriche Valley, Pokalde Peak, and the Tawache Ridge. Upon reaching Lobuche, you'll settle into your lodge and prepare for the final ascent to Everest Base Camp the next day.

Day 11 : Trek to Gorak Shep, Everest Base Camp, and back to Gorak Shep

Today is a challenging day as you trek to Gorak Shep, the last settlement before Everest Base Camp. The trail ascends through rocky moraines and glacial debris, offering panoramic views of Nuptse, Khumbuste, and Pumori mountains. After reaching Gorak Shep, you'll drop off your belongings at the lodge and continue towards Everest Base Camp. Day 12 : Hike to Kala Patthar, Trek to Pheriche

Upon reaching Kathmandu, you'll check back into your hotel in Thamel or a similar area. The rest of the day is free for you to relax, shop for souvenirs, or explore more of Kathmandu's cultural landmarks, such as Durbar Square or Swayambhunath Stupa.

Day 16 : Free day in Kathmandu

You'll have a full day in Kathmandu to relax, explore the city's cultural sites, do some last-minute shopping, or simply unwind after the trek.

Day 17 : Final Departure

Today marks the end of your Everest Base Camp trek adventure in Nepal. Depending on your flight schedule, you'll be transferred to Tribhuvan International Airport for your onward journey home.
