- Day 01:
Arrival in Kathmandu
You will be received by a company representative upon your arrival in Kathmandu and will be transferred to your hotel. Later in the afternoon, you will meet one of our trekking representatives who will give you detailed information about the trek.
- Day 02:
Fly to Lukla and Trek to Phakding (2652m)
The trek begins as you take off from Kathmandu and fly to Lukla. Lukla is considered to be one of the dangerous airports in the world due to its unique landscape and unconventionally short runway. You can feast your eyes with the beautiful Himalayas from the airplane. Once you land in Lukla we take a short trek to Phakding. It is an easy walk as the path just descents gradually.
- Day 03:
03 Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3440m)
We start our trek from Phakding and the route ascends and descends multiple times as we walk along the Dudh Koshi River. We get a glimpse of Mt Thamserku (6608m), while we are at Bengkar village. Upon crossing the Dudh Koshi River, we reach Monjo which is the entrance of Sagarmatha National Park. After our trekking permits are verified, we will again walk through Jorsalle village. Then we finally reach Namche Bazaar. It is one of the major trade centers of the Everest region.
- Day 04:
Acclimatization Day
Day four will be spent acclimatizing to the Himalayan atmosphere. As we climb higher, we may suffer from Acute Mountain Sickness (AMS) due to the thinning of air. so, acclimatizing to the climate is essential for successful completion of the journey We can either take a hike to Khumjung village and explore the village and the Khumjung Monastery which houses a scalp of yeti or go to Everest view hotel to enjoy beautiful scenery of mountains including Mt Everest, Ama Dablam (6856 m), Lhotse Shar (8393 m), Taboche (6367 m) and many others.
- Day 05:
Namche to Thame (3820m)
From Namche, we move towards Thame. We pass many monasteries like Laudo Gompa, Phurte, Teshyo before we cross the Bhote Koshi River. After walking for some time, we reach Thame. Thame used to be an old salt trading route. It is also the birthplace of Tenzing Norgay Sherpa; the first person to climb Mt Everest and Apa Sherpa; who has successfully climbed Mt Everest 21 times.
- Day 06:
Thame to Lumde (4137m)
Leaving Thame behind, we move to Lumde. Lumde is another beautiful Sherpa village. The walk is not that tough. However, we ascend for about an hour and we walk for about five more hours to reach Lumde. We walk alongside the Bhote Koshi River to reach Lumde
- Day 07:
Lumde to Renjo La Pass (5360m) and to Gokyo (4790m)
After having early breakfast, we continue our trek as we walk on the narrow path with huge boulders. As we continue to go up we will find ice on the trail. You can see beautiful lakes like Renjo Lake (4750m) and Relama Tsho (4970m). We move up on a staircase path to reach Renjo La pass (5360m). From the pass, you get an excellent view of Everest Himalayan range, Mt Makalu (8463m), Cho Oyu (8188m), Rolwaling range and numerous other mountains. We can also get a look at the beautiful valley and Lake of Gokyo. Then we move to Gokyo alongside Dudh Pokhari. We then reach near Gokyo Lake (4870m) where we see the beautiful lake and reflections of various mountains upon it. We can also see Ngozumpa Glacier from the Gokyo region. We reach Gokyo after we walk for about an hour.
- Day 08:
Gokyo to Thangnak (4750m)
We continue to trek from Gokyo to reach the edge of Ngozumpa glacier. This glacier is the longest glacier in Nepal. We gradually walk to the other side of the glacier and then we ascend on a simple trail to reach Thangnak. The trail is comparatively easier on this as compared to the rest.
- Day 09:
Thangnak to Cho La Pass (5367m) to Dzongla
Leaving Thangnak behind, we begin our trek on a trail which is winding and we need to be very wary of the boulders which make the trek even worse. The climb to the Cho La pass is steep. However, once we reach there we can see the beautiful Cho La Lake (4590m), Mt Ama Dablam and Mt Cholatse (6335m). Then we descend down a steep path. Walking for a few hours, we will reach Dzongla.
- Day 10:
10 Dzongla to Gorakshep (5140m)
We pass on an undulating path to walk along the Chola glacier, Mt Cholatse (6335m) and Mt Taboche (6367). We descend into a valley to reach a small human settlement. Continuing along the route, we continue upon a gentle slope which climbs steeply into the moraines of Khumbu glacier. After a short walk, we reach Gorakshep
- Day 11:
Gorakshep to Kalapatthar (5550m) to Lobuche (4910m)
We start our trek early in the morning, around 2-3 am. The temperature can go as low as -14 C and there is also the chance of chilly wind. We can see that the beautiful mountains like Khumbutse (6665m), Lingtren (6749), and Everest all start to reveal themselves. As we reach Kalapatthar, we get a panoramic view of majestic Everest and other mountains. Then we descend to Lobuche.
- Day 12:
Lobuche to Kongma La (5430m) to Chhukung (4730m)
We trek from Lobuche to Khumbu Glacier and then to Kongma La base camp. The ascent from the base camp to the Kongma La pass (5535m) will be difficult. Upon reaching the pass, it can be recognized by the prayer flags on it. We can get breath-taking panoramic views of the surrounding mountains Chukung Ri (5550m), Kongma Tse (5820m), Lobuche (6119m) and then we descend to Imja Khola valley. Then we again descend to Chhukung village.
- Day 13:
Chhukung to Tengboche (3867m)
The trek is pleasant as we walk on a trail intersected with icy streams. After walking for an hour, we reach Bibre. From Bibre we can get a good look of the gorgeous Ama Dablam and Amphu Labsta (5663m) just across the valley. Then we again descend to Imja Khola valley. We walk through stone walled fields in Dingboche and descend down to Lobuche River. We then move ahead from the valley to the beautiful village of Pangboche. Then we head down to cross the Imja River to reach Deboche. We walk through the serene forests of rhododendron and conifer and ascend to reach Tengboche.
- Day 14:
Tengboche to Namche Bazaar (3440m)
We continue on a trail that is quite pleasant. As we descend we reach Phunke Tenga. We then follow an easy trail to Namche. We will reach Namche in not more than an hour. On our way back to Namche, we pass along Tenzing Norgay Memorial Stupa established in commemoration of the Tenzing Norgay Sherpa. We can take some time to shop for souvenirs at Namche
- Day 15:
15 Namche to Lukla (2840m)
The trail is pleasant. After descending a few meters and we get surrounded by the forest of pine. We retrace our steps back through the villages of Jorsalle, Monjo, Bengkar, Phakding, and Chheplung to finally reach Lukla. We are continually treated with the views of different mountains of the Everest region on our way back as we bid farewell to them.
- Day 16:
Lukla to Kathmandu (1300m)
We take an early morning Himalayan flight to Kathmandu. While we are in the air, we can take a good look at all those gigantic mountains as the Kathmandu valley awaits our arrival. After landing in Kathmandu we have free time to visit the World Heritage Site or shop for souvenirs.
- Day 17:
Spare Day
Today is a spare day as we might need to acclimatize ourselves to the climate and rest our weary body. However, we can also visit some of the major tourist attraction sites in Kathmandu like Pashupatinath, Swayambhunath, Boudhanath and the durbar squares. We can also go to see the local market of Kathmandu.
- Day 18
Departure from Kathmandu
You will be accompanied by a company representative to help you with your final departure from your home country.
