- Day 01
: Arrival in Kathmandu
Upon your arrival at the Tribhuvan International Airport, one of our representatives will receive you and escort to your hotel in Kathmandu.
- Day 02
: Kathmandu: Sightseeing and trip preparation
After breakfast, you will head for the sightseeing tour around the valley. You will be accompanied by a tour guide who will take you around Kathmandu and guide you through important historical and religious places, such as; Pashupatinath, Swayambhunath, Boudhanath and Kathmandu Durbar Square. These sites are the benchmarks that support the claim of the peak of cultural prosperity in the valley. Once back at the hotel, you can pack your bags for the flight the next morning. - Day 03
: Fly to Lukla then trek to Phakding (2610m)
A 25 minutes long scenic flight from Kathmandu to Lukla offers one of the best times. The flight offers you great sceneries of the mountains and. Lukla Airport is known for its sheer altitude and short runway, hence landing at this airport can definitely be challenging. The first day of the trek is more like a preparation, hence you will only trek up to the nearby village of Phakding. Overnight at a lodge in Phakding.
- Day 04
Phakding to Namche Bazaar (2840m)
The trail goes up to Dudh Koshi River through Jorsalle. A bit further up is Monjo village, also the entry point of Sagarmatha National Park. It is home to a variety of wildlife and vegetation in the country. The trail continues further along the Bhote Koshi River to take you through Jorsalle and Larja Dobhan. You also reach the first viewpoint of the Everest on the way to Namche Bazaar. Overnight at Namche Bazaar
- Day 05
Namche Bazaar acclimatization
It is essential that you stay a day acclimatizing at Namche Bazaar. The village lies above 3000m hence, getting familiar with the altitude is a must. You can take a stroll around Namche Bazaar’s quaint locality, observe the culture and lifestyle of Sherpas up and close. You can also opt to take a short hike to Everest View Hotel which offers glorious views of the Mount Everest (8848m) from its balconies. After that, you return to Namche Bazaar. - Day 06
: Namche Bazaar to Debuche (3820m)
We trek further along the Everest route and pass through beautiful villages and cross the Dudh Koshi River while also enjoying magnificent views of the Himalayan peaks like Everest (8848m), Lhotse (8414m), Nuptse (7861m) and Ama Dablam (6856m) along the way. After ascending on a steep trail, we reach the Tengboche Monastery and spend some time there. Later, we descend to Debuche to spend the night. Overnight in Debuche.
- Day 07
Debuche to Pangboche (3930m)
We hike to another village called Pangboche on our way to Pheriche. Pangboche is a scenic village surrounded by the Everest (8848m) to its north, Ama Dablam (6856m) and Thamserku (6608m)to the east, the Kongde range to the south and the Imja River flowing through the wide fertile valley. From here, we continue further up towards Pheriche, another beautiful village. Overnight stay at Pangboche
- Day 08
This day is set aside just for acclimatization as ascending further up can prove to be difficult. The huge Tibetan-Buddhist influence in the region is clearly evident due to the thick spread of numerous monasteries in a small span of area. You can spend the day exploring these monasteries and learn about the culture and religious rituals practiced in the region. You can take short hikes around the area to prepare for the upcoming ascent. Overnight stay at Pangboche.
- Day 09
: Pangboche to Ama Dablam Base Camp (4600m)
Today, you will make your way towards Ama Dablam Base Camp. The trail goes through Dudh Koshi River in the east. After hiking up for a while, you will reach Ama Dablam Base Camp. The Base Camp is situated at a large open grass field at the foot of the mountain. Your guide and staff will prepare tents for camping. Overnight stay at Ama Dablam Base Camp.
- Day 10
: Acclimatization and Pre-climb training at Ama Dablam Base Camp (4600m)
Your guide will provide basic peak training along with what-to and how-to guidelines. You will also be briefed on the usage of ice axe, climbing boots, crampons, harness, ascender, roping etc. To bolster up your courage, your guide will assist you with all the required information and motivation. We spend the whole day acclimatizing to the atmosphere around the Base Camp. Overnight stay at Ama Dablam Base Camp.
- Day 11-25
Ascending and Descending of Ama Dablam (6856m)
The entire climbing period lasts 15 days. From the Ama Dablam Base Camp, you’ll move towards Camp I at 5700m. The climb is generally technical and may require more effort from the climber. You’ll spend one night at Camp I.
From Camp I, you’ll move to Camp II using fixed lines. Your guide will establish fixed ropes wherever required which will be used for both ascent and descent. The use of ascender will come very handy at this time. Generally, you go to sleep early and wake up at the break of the dawn to start climbing.
The climb from Camp 2 to Camp 3 is comprised of mixed rock, snow, and ice. You’ll be required to use your ice-axe and crampons to reach up to Camp 3. The climb from Camp 3 to the summit is relatively less technical. The summit of the Ama Dablam peak offers stunningly radiant views of the Everest massif and other mountains in the region. After summiting the peak, we return back to the base camp.
- Day 26-27
Trek to Lukla
After completing the climb, you’ll trek to Lukla via Tengboche, Namche Bazaar and Phakding. The descent is comparatively easy, hence you’ll great time to explore the place, taking photos and talking with the locals. You also meet other travelers, local Sherpas, and porters on the trek back to Lukla. The walk can be perfect to recall your feats of the climb and relish in the beautiful Himalayan backdrop. - Day 28
Fly back to Kathmandu
This is the last that you’ll see the Everest range up-close. A short flight will bring you back to Kathmandu, and upon arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel. You can choose to take a stroll around the vicinity, shop for souvenirs or simply relax. Overnight stay at a hotel in Kathmandu.
- Day 29
Leisure day in Kathmandu
You can choose to spend the additional day at Kathmandu exploring the city and visiting UNESCO World Heritage sites. Kathmandu is a home to seven such sites which will not have been covered on the initial tour of the city. You can visit places like Bhaktapur Durbar Square, Lalitpur Durbar Square, and Changunarayan temple. The vicinity of the hotel also offers many great shops, a spa, and diners, where you can spend a quality time. Overnight at a hotel in Kathmandu.
- Day 30
: Final Departure
We’ll drop you off at Tribhuvan International Airport so you can catch your scheduled flight back home. Our representative will take you to the airport, approximately 3 hours before your scheduled flight.
