Trip Itinerary

Day 1 : Arrival in Kathmandu (1,320 m) and Transfer to Hotel

Upon landing at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, you'll be greeted by a representative from your tour company who will assist you with your luggage and transfer you to your hotel. The drive to your accommodation will offer you your first glimpse of Kathmandu's bustling streets and vibrant life. Once you’ve checked into your hotel, take some time to rest and refresh after your journey.

If you arrive in the afternoon or evening, you might want to explore the area around your hotel or enjoy a relaxing dinner at the hotel’s restaurant. This evening is also an opportunity to familiarize yourself with the local environment and prepare for the exciting itinerary ahead. If you’re up for it, a brief stroll around Thamel, a lively district filled with shops and eateries, can provide a pleasant introduction to the city.

Day 2 : Tour of Kathmandu Valley

Begin your day with a hearty breakfast at your hotel, followed by a full day of exploring Kathmandu's major landmarks and cultural sites. Your first stop will be the Swayambhunath Stupa, also known as the Monkey Temple, situated on a hilltop that offers panoramic views of the Kathmandu Valley. The stupa's ancient architecture, vibrant prayer flags, and the lively monkey population make it a fascinating visit.

Next, head to Pashupatinath Temple, one of the most sacred Hindu temples dedicated to Lord Shiva. Located on the banks of the Bagmati River, this site is famous for its cremation ghats and lively atmosphere. Witness the rituals and learn about the significance of this revered site.

Upon arrival in Nepalgunj, you'll be met by a representative who will assist with your transfer to Bardiya National Park. The drive from Nepalgunj to Bardiya takes about 2-3 hours and traverses through rural landscapes and small villages. During this drive, you'll start to see the transition from the city to the more tranquil and natural environment of the Terai.

Arrive at your lodge or resort near Bardiya National Park, where you'll check in and have lunch. The afternoon can be spent settling in and exploring the lodge’s surroundings. In the evening, you'll receive a briefing about the park and the activities planned for your stay. Enjoy a delicious dinner at the lodge and prepare for your upcoming jungle adventures.

Day 4 : Full Day at Bardiya National Park - Jungle Safari

Start your day with an early breakfast before heading out for your first full day of jungle safari activities. Bardiya National Park, one of Nepal’s largest and most pristine protected areas, is renowned for its diverse wildlife, including the elusive Bengal tiger, one-horned rhinoceros, and various species of deer and birds.

Your morning safari might be conducted by jeep or on the back of an elephant, depending on the lodge’s offerings and the park’s conditions. After breakfast, check out of your lodge and begin the drive back to Nepalgunj. The journey offers one last chance to enjoy the Terai’s rural beauty before you return to the city. Upon arrival at Nepalgunj Airport, check in for your flight back to Kathmandu.

The flight to Kathmandu offers a different perspective of the landscape, and upon arrival, you’ll be transferred to your hotel in the city. Depending on the time of your arrival, you may have the opportunity to explore more of Kathmandu or simply relax and unwind at your hotel.

Enjoy a farewell dinner, reflecting on your wildlife adventure in Bardiya and the cultural experiences you’ve had in Kathmandu.

Day 7 : Final Departure

On your final day in Nepal, enjoy a leisurely breakfast at your hotel. Depending on your flight schedule, you might have some free time for last-minute shopping or sightseeing in Kathmandu. Your tour guide or hotel staff will assist with check-out and transfer you to Tribhuvan International Airport for your international departure.
